Grace Hopper

Grace Hopper (1906-1992) was a woman who lived during World War 2 and worked in the military during that time. While working the military, she was tasked with working on an Automatic Sequenced Controlled Calculator and even went on to write a 500 page manual for it. Her most notable achievement, however, was her creation of the compiler, which allowed the same program to be run on multiple computers.

Vinton Cerf

Vinton Cerf (Born in 1943) is often referred to as one of the "Fathers of the Internet" due to his work with Bob Kahn with ARPANET. His work contributed to the development of the TCP/IP model that we know and laid the groundwork for a globally interconnected network that we call the Internet.
